Starting to develop iPhone apps

Building iPhone apps is no small feat.  You have to be a good C/C++ programmer, you have to learn the Objective-C programming method, then learn the Cocoa frameworks.

But it’s great that a lot of people have created sample code and examples that showcase functionality.

Starbucks and work

Ever wonder how Starbucks is the new “library”? Kids no longer work at home anymore. They just work at Starbucks. Free WiFi, buy one drink, stay for 4~8 hours. Of course staying long depends on what type of person you are. I’ve stayed at coffee shops for 10+ hours.

It’s a great way to get you to focus. Less distractions since I haven’t got into watching internet TV, etc.

In SF, there’s basically one 24 hour Starbucks. It’s amazing and it’s near where I live, Laurel Heights. So you’ll occasionally see me out there until like 4 or 5 in the morning.
